• Testing and troubleshooting continuity of fiber optic networks
• Operate all testing equipment and be adept at resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networks.
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as different vendors etc.
• Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR, DWDM, CWDM, Max Tester, Power meter.
• Fiber engineer skills and knowledge of fiber design, construction reading documentation, understanding of light levels and dB loss in networks systems.
• Knowledge of Fiber plant design, and general construction.
• Knowledge of fiber installation and standards.
• Experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry.
• Experience in 3GIS, CAD, ARCGIS, ARAMIS, knowledge NJUNS, Google Earth or other mapping and drafting software.
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
